This week my plumeria made their last bold statement
before sleep. Pinks, purples a little orange, white.
I am amazed it happened at all.
Last winter, for the second year in a row, it got so
cold here that my poor plumeria flowers were killed
down to the ground.
It took all summer but they managed to muster one
defiant burst of color.
Lovely photography. I thought Florida was always really hot because you are so far south? The fact that you have cold winters surprises me.ReplyDelete
I'm still working on my panning movie of Sydney, but have just uploaded a couple of little little time lapse movies onto You Tube if you want to have a look.
There is a town south of me called Frostproof, not anymore. Folks can debate climate all they want but we have had major changes here over the last century. Central Florida used to be nothing but oranges and grapefruit, growers are moving south or overseas. Last year we had over twelve nights of freezing temperatures in a row. During the summer it is really hot here, sub-tropical.ReplyDelete
Most of our winters are really nice, with a few really cold nights.
